Welcome to the Aqua Hair Design team page! Our salon was founded in 1999 by Patrizia Cucinella and Julie Quarmby, two friends with a passion for hair and a 30-year friendship. Together, they have built a successful business partnership spanning 17 years.

Our team is made up of a lovely bunch of girls who are dedicated to providing the best hair styling experience for our clients. We have our team members who bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to our salon. We pride ourselves on our friendly and welcoming atmosphere and strive to make every visit to our salon a memorable one.

Meet Patrizia Cucenella, owner of Aqua Hair Design. With over 23 years in the industry, Patrizia brings deep expertise and international experience from Germany, Italy, and her native Cardiff. She co-founded the salon in 1999 with Julie Quarmby, and together they’ve built a thriving local favourite.

Julie Quarmby, co-owner of Aqua Hair Design, has over 30 years’ experience, having managed salons in Oxford and London. Since co-founding Aqua with Trish in 1999, she’s brought passion and expertise to every client and helped shape the salon’s trusted reputation.

I returned to hairdressing later in life after retraining at college, and I’ve now been with Aqua Hair Design for nearly two years. As a mum of three, I love the warm, family feel here. Every day is an adventure—I truly enjoy the craft and the relationships I’ve built with my clients.

I’ve been hairdressing since 2002, training with Vidal Sassoon and working as a Principal Stylist at Saks. After a career break, I joined Aqua in 2015 and haven’t looked back. I love all aspects of hairdressing and the strong bonds I’ve built with my clients. You’ll find me here on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Cerys, owner of Skin Deep Beauty, has been part of Aqua Salon for over 20 years, starting at just 22. She loves every aspect of her work—from nails to massage—and enjoys connecting with her diverse clientele. A foster parent and animal lover, Cerys brings warmth and care to everything she does.
